MIT 2.009 capstone · Product Form lead
Scribbly
I owned the physical design of the product on a team of more than fifteen people, across a full semester and a working final prototype.
The hard part was not the form itself. Four subsystems all wanted the same interior volume, each team had a good reason, and I had no authority over any of them. My job was to keep one coherent object while those requirements moved underneath me.
What worked was making the tradeoff visible early — showing each team what their ask cost the others in the same drawing, so the argument happened over a shared model instead of over email. We shipped on time.
